Intrusive thoughts are unwelcome and uninvited thoughts that occupy your mind. It can happen when we feel stressed, when we feel anxiety, or when we are healing from a traumatic experience. And sometimes, these intrusive thoughts can start to snowball and feel unimaginably big and weighty. Mindfulness can help us have a different relationship with these intrusive thoughts. Rather than viewing them as unwelcome visitors that overstay their welcome, you can treat them instead as unexpected visitors that you turn away at the door. Join me as I lead us in a guided visualization to practice mindfulness with those intrusive thoughts. Please find a quiet place to participate, where you can be present without risk of interruptions of distractions.
